Below you will find a list of brokerages I use along with a short description and any known promotional bonuses. Bonuses are accurate as of 11/2020 and are subject to change. Please refer to each brokerage firms terms and conditions before opening any brokerage account.

Acorns

Acorns is a robo-investing platform that utilizes fractional shares that allows you to invest your 'spare change' by rounding up the purchases you make with a linked credit or debit card. Other features include Acorns Earn, basically a cashback and rewards system that pays in stock instead of cash. Please note that there is a minimum $1/month fee associated with an Acorns account that can typically be offset by utilizing Acorns Earn.

Computershare

Computershare provides corporate trust, stock transfer and employee share plan services in a number of different countries. This is where my original Disney shares are held.

E*trade

With E*trade you can trade Stocks, options, and ETFs for free plus low fees for Options contracts, Futures contracts and Bonds.

Currently E*trade does not offer fractional shares.

Fidelity

Fidelity is an American multinational financial services corporation and is one of the largest asset managers in the world. Fidelity Investments operates a brokerage firm, manages a large family of mutual funds, provides fund distribution and investment advice, retirement services, index funds, wealth management, cryptocurrency, securities execution and clearance, and life insurance.

Fidelity now offers fractional share investing through their mobile app.

Firstrade

Firstrade Securities is a stockbrokerage firm and broker-dealer that offers an electronic trading platform to trade financial assets including no commission trading of stocks, exchange-traded funds, and mutual funds. There is also no contract fee on options. Check Firstrade's terms for a complete list of fees.

Currently Firstrade does not offer fractional shares.

Loved Investing

Loved is a commission-free, family centric stock trading platform with unique features designed around the concept of involving the whole family in finance and investing. Loved features include fractional share investing, creating and managing accounts for minors and instant messaging.

M1 Finance

With M1 Finance you can invest, borrow and spend. Invest with their unique platform that allows you to organize investments your way into 'pies'. Money invested is automatically distributed among slices of your 'pie' according to weighting you set via fractional investing.

Moomoo

Moomoo features zero-commission stock trading and zero contract fees for option trading for U.S. residents.

Currently Moomoo does not offer fractional shares.

Moomoo bonuses vary - currently new account holders can claim a free stock valued up to $200 with a minimum $100 deposit and another free stock valued up to $1000 when their balance reaches $1500 (within 90 days).


NVSTR

One of the few online brokerages on this list that charges a trading fee, NVSTR's claim to fame is their automation.

Currently NVSTR does not offer fractional shares.

Public

One of my preferred trading platforms Public makes the stock market social - follow other investors, discover companies to believe in, and invest with any amount of money with commission-free trading.

Robinhood

One of my preferred trading platforms, Robinhood was one of the first commission-free brokerages and they recently introduced fractional shares as well.

Schwab

A stalwart in the investing community Schwab is known for its electronic trading platforms, investor education, and discount brokerage services, particularly reduced and free trading commission charges.

Schwab recently introduced fractional share investing with Schwab Stock Slices™ allowing investors to invest in the S&P 500 companies for as little as $5 per 'slice'.

SoFi

SoFi incorporates banking, investing, loans, crypto trading, credit cards and more in one app. Features include commission-free fractional investing with "Stock Bits" (in select companies). SoFi occasionally runs promos for existing clients allowing them to earn cash or stock.

Stash

Stash incorporates banking and investing in one app. Features include commission-free fractional investing. Stash occasionally runs promos for existing clients allowing them to earn cash or stock; including their innovative #StashStockParty. Stockpile

One of the few online brokerages on this list that charges a trading fee, Stockpile offers fractional share investing for $0.99 per trade; however there are no monthly fees or account minimums. Stockpile's primary feature is their ability to 'give' stock via gift cards. Ideal for parents and grandparents to give stock as gifts. I honestly don't utilize Stockpile much and only have the account due to promotional gift cards received from Verizon.

TastyWorks

TastyWorks is a full featured brokerage that offers commission-free trades on stocks and low fees on other types of trades.

Trade stocks, ETFs, options and crypto all commission-free at Webull.

Currently Webull does not offer fractional shares.

Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo is a diversified multinational financial services company. Their presence on this on this list is simply due to the fact that I had a 401k rolled over to them years ago. Note that I am currently working on switching it over to their self-directed fee free option vs their managed service.
